Business card follow up

You finally have a collection of business cards from among your best prospects, now what? Do you keep them to add to your friends? Or do they get to serve the purpose they are intended to?It is time to follow up. The best follow up is immediately, as soon as possible. Prospects will remember you best if you send them a personal note or email the next day or the next few days after you both have swapped that card. Nowadays, e-mail is way faster and you will be surprised at the fast response you will be getting also. What started out as a simple exchange of business card will now lead to an interaction between you, as a business owner, and the prospective client, yours in the days to come. It is not a necessity for both of you to have a common goal in business. You have a quasi-relationship in the fact that you were both at the same event and the fact that you followed-up promptly. Let them know their business cards are not dumped or trashed like the usual ones by following up.
